The surge protection feature is enabled by default. When surge protection is enabled, it is active for any service that you add.

Disable or reenable surge protection by using the CLI

At the command prompt, type one of the following sets of commands to disable or reenable surge protection and verify the configuration:

              - disable ns feature SurgeProtection - show ns feature - enable ns feature SurgeProtection - show ns feature

Disable or reenable surge protection by using the GUI

In the navigation pane, expand System, and then select Settings.
In the details pane, click Change Advanced Features.
In the Configure Advanced Features dialog box, clear the selection from the Surge Protection check box to disable the surge protection feature, or select the check box to enable the feature.
Click OK.
In the Enable/Disable Feature(s) dialog box, click Yes. A message appears in the status bar, stating that the feature has been enabled or disabled.
