Secure Hub has extra flips when apps need to synchronize components like auth tokens, timers, and pin retries

Applicable Products

  • Citrix Endpoint Management

Symptoms or Error

As the Network Extension property is no longer available, there might be extra flips to Secure Hub when apps need to synchronize components such as auth tokens, timers, and pin retries.

Solution

Note:-

  • Beginning with version 20.3.0, Secure Hub will no longer support Network Extension on the iOS platform.
  • MDX apps running with that Secure Hub version or later versions will always have Network Extension disabled.
  • Because of this, the Network Extension client property ENABLE_NETWORK_EXTENSION in Citrix Endpoint-Management (CEM) server will not be honored by Secure Hub.
  • New users are not prompted to install VPN.
SSO Experience Change:

The Network Extension property had no benefit if only Citrix Apps were deployed.

使网络扩展t财产利益he deployed enterprise wrapped apps by allowing the sharing of security data between two or more app silos on iOS, where "app silo" refers to a group of apps signed with the same Team ID.

    Problem Cause

Due to recent changes on App Store Review Guidelines, Network Extension property has been removed from Secure Hub App. Network extensions have no impact on Citrix Secure apps (Secure Mail, Secure Web, etc.).
