Create application units

You might need to add application units for traffic subsets that are either specific to your web application implementation or not defined in the template. When creating an application unit, you must configure a rule for the application unit.

To create an application unit for the AppExpert application:

Navigate toAppExpert>Applications.
In the details pane, right-click the application for which you want to add an application unit, and then clickAdd.
In theApplicationspage, go toApplication Unitssection and click thepencilicon.

To configure policy expressions for an application unit:

Navigate toAppExpert>Applications.
In the details pane, right-click the application for which you want to add an application unit, and then clickAdd.
In theApplicationspage, go toApplication Unitssection and click the+icon. to create a unit and add policy expressions.
To specify the format of the new expression, do one of the following:
1. To specify that you want to configure a policy expression in the Rule box, click Classic Syntax.
2. To specify that you want to configure an advanced expression in the Rule box, click Advanced policy.
3. In the Rule box, configure the expression.
ClickOK.
